When Mark Villwock, PE joined LDC, Inc., LDC had only been in business one year. He had worked with President Frank Lemos several years prior a different engineering consulting firm and back then, not knowing exactly what the future held, Frank promised that someday they would work together again.
Since 2004, Mr. Villwock has grown from a Design Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Manager, Principal, to Vice President – board member and Director of Engineering. He is a shining example along with several others at LDC who have spent most of their professional careers growing and participating in shaping the future of who LDC is today and will be tomorrow.
Professionally, Mr. Villwock is a licensed civil engineer in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska, Nevada and North Dakota, and has his master’s degree in construction management. With twenty years of consulting engineering experience Mr. Villwock has seen it all; having extensive design-engineering and project management experience in private and public infrastructure both large and small throughout the Pacific Northwest. Mr. Villwock’s in-depth experience in code research and code interpretation has garnered him the reputation of being an industry leader in Washington State as an advisor on land use, planning policy, and stormwater regulations within the land development building industry for LDC’s clients.
Above all LDC ownership is purposeful in its approach of building an “A” class team that meet and exceed client expectations. From the start it was understood that our true strength and sustainability is in our team as a whole, not in one or two individuals; which is why creating an environment where teamwork flourishes is LDC’s top priority.
As an industry leader, Mr. Villwock has been a board member of the Master Builders Association of Snohomish County (MBA) for three years. He has proven to bring a unique perspective to the MBA as a design engineering professional with regard to the organizations industry leadership on state and local government policy and new development regulation. Mr. Villwock is also chair of the MBAs Developer Builder Issues Council (DBIC) which is specifically a government policy lobbying arm of the MBA in Snohomish County. In addition, Mr. Villwock has sat on Snohomish County’s Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Public Right-of-Way Citizens Advisory Committee for the last five years providing hands on design constructability advice to the committee.
As Vice President and board member of LDC, Inc., Mr. Villwock assists the President with overseeing departments such as Civil and Structural Engineering, Planning, Surveying, and Telecom, as well as other executive business operations. Mr. Villwock enjoys working with our teams and building an environment where great people accomplish great things together.
